4-Day Murchison Falls & Chimpanzee Trek at Kibaale

Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, is a breathtaking showcase of nature’s power and beauty. The park is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging into a thunderous cascade. Its vast
savannahs, woodlands, and riverine forests are home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat cruises along the Nile, birdwatching, and hiking to the falls for stunning panoramic views.

A short distance away lies Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where visitors can track wild rhinos on foot. This conservation initiative plays a crucial role in reintroducing rhinos to Uganda after their extinction in the wild. Guided rhino treks provide a unique opportunity to observe these endangered giants up close.

Further south, Kibaale National Park offers a different kind of wilderness experience. Known as the “Primate Capital of the World,” it shelters 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, red colobus, and mangabeys. Chimpanzee trekking here is an unforgettable encounter, combining adventure with a deep appreciation for Uganda’s rich biodiversity.
