The chimpanzee trekking experience is one of Uganda’s most popular and rewarding wildlife encounters. Similar to gorilla trekking, this activity takes you deep into the forest as you follow the calls, rustling leaves, and movement of these intelligent primates swinging gracefully through the canopy. Depending on their location, the trek may last a few hours, but every step brings anticipation and excitement. Once located, you will have the rare privilege of spending up to one full hour observing the chimpanzees—watching their social interactions, playful behaviours, and remarkable resemblance to humans.
