Lake Mburo is the smallest of Uganda’s national parks, covering an area of 260 square kilometers. It’s conveniently located along the Kampala-Mbarara Highway, making it the closest national Park to Kampala and Entebbe Cities.
This strategic location, vast wildlife, and varied landscape with beautiful scenery make Lake Mburo one of the popular destinations for tourists in Uganda.
Lake Mburo National Park was first gazetted in 1933 as a controlled hunting area and later upgraded to a game reserve in 1963.
